I am using pfSense and always setup static-port NAT for the VOIP devices.
I'm kind of confused. You state no port forwarding is required and go on to describe how to setup port forwarding. So I went ahead and setup port forwarding for 174.36.46.0/23 and 67.228.190.129/25.
I have other VOIP devices, none of which require forwarding 10000 ports to an embedded device with outdated firmware.
When I got the Grandstream adapter it was very bad quality -- there was static on the dialtone! After a few days the Grandstrem totally stopped working. I bought an Obi202 adapter that's much better...
What version of the firmware should be on the HT502? The one I got is very old, and I was having a firewall issue that prevented it from downloading any possible updates.
