    burris,

Its just for my outgoing interface. My setup allocates 180K (using 3 way calling or call waiting) for packets marked with IP precedence of 5. 5 is used for voice, video packets.

Its just to control bottlenecks in my router. Once it goes out of my router, we can't control the packets.

Except for these 2 settings, I don't see any other RTP choices..

    local RTP port: xxxx

    Symmetric RTP: yes or no

    Where else would I look?

    finally someone's interested in QOS
    HT-286 QOS: default settings
the HT-502 has the same settings
    my wish list:
    1. Intelligent Call Forwarding that detects the incoming call originated from the "forwarded" phone and rings the original destination instead
    2. Call History that makes use of CallerID/Custom CallerID+Location. Call History only shows Custom CallerId+Loc. No CNAM look up; Albeitly,it's a step in the right direction!
    3. Scheduled sim. ring with a twist (see wish #1)

I'm sure you are more versed in this than I, since I come from the POTS world, but take a look at this site pages 4-5 and explain how the ATA, outside the network can control downstream.

Since I don't have control over Advanced settings in 502, I found another way to match the packets. Cisco router (831) allows me to match by RTP protocol and port numbers. For now, I am doing that and it matches those packets.
