Mine is BYOD. It is a PAP2T. I had 2 1/2 years of no outages with these settings. Recently I had about 2 weeks of not registering, but it has been solid again for the last week.

I left mine as it was provisioned and I can't imagine anything working any better.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that it stays this way.

The PAP2T has a voice menu system built in through which you can set a static IP. You can get the user manual at http://www.linksysbycisco.com/US/en/...PAP2T/download. Instructions start on page 8.

Basically, pressing '****' puts you into the menu system. From there you enter a numeric code for the option you want (see below). Finish your entries with the '#' key. Use a single '*' for the period in IP addresses.

    '101#' change DHCP
    '111#' set static IP
    '121#' set subnet
    '131#' set gateway

Please see the user manual for more detailed instructions.

I hear "Invalid option" when I try to enter 111#
