Dd-wrt qos
Today I played a little with the latest beta of DD-WRT. I am currently running Tomato 1.25 but figured I try something new! I set up QOS on DD-WRT using the same upload/download speeds as tomato, and used IP address based QOS. I looked at what policy was being applied to the QOS packets and it looked to be applying correctly based on the IP traffic.
My test is to be in a call and do a speed test. When I download, it breaks up a little. When I upload, it breaks up a lot. With QOS on Tomato I can do a speedtest upload and download with no breakup.
I'm not sure what I am missing with DD-WRT, but it seems to me Tomato's QOS is a lot easier to configure and works better. Aren't they both basically Linux? How are they different?
Just curious!
