    Default Codec

    Which codec do our customers have? ie, voice quality.. I hear we should look for G.711 and above?

    Only time I have issues with codecs is when clients that are using our free service use a pap device that looks for the g.729 codec. We have to have them change to a free codec.

    Right, we only support G.711 which is the high quality one.

    No, at this time most of our carrier partners (more than a dozen) support only G.711.
