Default Anyone tried using a Video Phone?

I'm intrigued by the Grandstream Video Phones.

I know this is a BYOD question, but in theory, these should work, right?

Not sure. That is a good question. I guess the key issue would be codec support and network restrictions. I would love to do some testing.

I think the hardware video phones use the same video codecs as the softphones. So I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work. In fact, it seems the purpose of SIP is to make the client device irrelevant, so long as the standards are followed correctly. So we should be able to talk between a hardware videophone and a software videophone. I just haven't gotten around to buying a hardware phone for testing.
