1) Porting is Now Free for Resellers
Until now, there has been a porting fee of $5 to process reseller ports. As we’ve grown over the last few years our volume has gone up drastically and we have a lot more negotiating power now and have been able to get rid of porting fees for our primary carriers.
We’re passing this savings on to you guys so we are no longer charging fees to port in numbers that are in our primary coverage area. Now, all you’ll pay is the $1/mo DID fee just like new numbers.
The porting fee for all ports covered in our primary coverage area that are submitted from now on is $0.
The only exception to this where we will still have to charge the $5 porting fee is for numbers in rural areas where we have to process through one of our non-primary carriers (less than 1% of numbers). If that happens, we’ll let you know before we process it to see how you’d like to proceed. Again this is rare and only for areas where our primary carrier partners have no coverage and we have to use an alternate. To put it in perspective, it’s only a few dozen numbers a month out of the thousands we port in.
2) Fax Number Surcharge Gone
We have also removed the extra $1 fax fee to use a number as a fax number. Previously these had a $1/mo fax fee + the $1/mo fee for the number.
We’ve removed the extra $1/mo fax fee for fax numbers for both existing fax numbers and new ones. Now all you pay is the regular $1/mo phone number fee. There’s no longer a fax surcharge.
