    Default Cloud VOIP and settings

    I signed up for a cloud VOIP account because I simply wanted to be able to call into business meetings from home without using my cell phone (cell service can be spotty depending on where I am in the house). I really don't use a phone much, so having a full fledged VOIP phone didn't make sense. For the once or twice a month I need to call into my meeting, I'll use a softIP phone on my computer.

    I added an account in the VPanel and tried to set it up on two different soft phones (using Mac OS X). I put in the account credentials and PW I added and used sip.voipwelcome.com as stated on the page. However, using both X-Lite and Telephone, I continue to get error 408. I'm not sure if that's because I'm using my employers network connection right now and they don't have the proper port open, or if there's something else I'm missing.

    Anybody else seen this? or have Ideas on how to correct this issue?

    I think this may be related to being on my employers network right now. I'm going to try it again when I'm on my home network.
