Wow! All direct tests for me worked, but when mapped to 411 didn't until recent.

666 should be to dial most Mother-In-Laws, but mine is an angel!

What happens if someone routes over 911? (I don't want to try)

A Google employee shows up at the door and puts the paddles on your chest with callous disregard for the joules used or required.

routing 411 to 8004664411 seemed to work for me
however there was not a duration recorded for such call (in my call history)
Has anyone noticed the same behaviour?
    my wish list:
    1. Intelligent Call Forwarding that detects the incoming call originated from the "forwarded" phone and rings the original destination instead
    2. Call History that makes use of CallerID/Custom CallerID+Location. Call History only shows Custom CallerId+Loc. No CNAM look up; Albeitly,it's a step in the right direction!
    3. Scheduled sim. ring with a twist (see wish #1)

YesI have the same experience. There has to be a difference in the way the call is:
    1. routed
    2. terminated
That causes it to work sometimes and fail other times.
I have observed that if I dial Goog411 using a call route, it never shows a time in my call history. If I dial it directly, it shows as a normal call.
Could just be a quirk of the call detail recorder not coded correctly to capture calls placed that way.

    uhm,
could be a potential security hole (for metered subscribers to abuse)

I thought I told you not to reveal our scam, now they will shut us down for sure......
    Yes I see your point,

    1.buy a metered subscription
2.make all or your calls that will generate huge traffic into "call routes"
    3. circumvent billing system
4.enjoy unlimited rates at a lower price point.

You think Tim is reading this and has alerted the Voip authorities....?

Anyway, I also have encountered the blank call log issue when making certain toll free calls.

When the call to Goog 411 fails = no entry in the log
When it goes through = normal entry and I have observed the same for those 800, 888, 877, 866 calls occasionally.

Hey for .32 cents a day I am not complaining although with all the phone lines we have in the house, my wife thinks I am crazy.

Does it record if an international call is routed thusly? A billing hole it may be?

don't you give them more ideas
    j/k
it seems that Tim has it fixed now
just tried 411 mapped to goog411, 611 mapped to 800.555.8355
both entries' durations showed up in my call log
