View Full Version : Service Interuptions on 10/31 Morning

Has anyone else experienced service interuptions this morning starting around 9AM EDT? V Panel and the form web site were also experiencing temporary outages as well. My other internet service did not seem to be affected so I don't believe it was a Comcast problem.

Same here. Around 9am (EDT) this morning (Saturday, October 31, 2009) my primary phone line and secondary virtual number both went dead. Occasionally they would come back up, then go out again. When they were up calls received were one-sided. Tried to check voipo's website and it was down also.

My thanks also for posting the link. Here's hoping the message for a system failure is also changed as my son found it diconcerting when he called this AM to get a message that said the line is out of service. It would be better to say "experiencing network problems - please try later.

I understand the concern regarding the recording that is presented to the caller. Sometimes that's not quite under Voipo's control. If they can contract with their carriers to redirect failed inbound calls to a 'network error' recording instead of a 'number not in service' recording, it would be a good thing... Point is, if the call never hits Voipo's servers, Voipo cannot control where it goes.

I looked for dial tone at 9, saw it was down, and checked my fios which was fine. Tried the Voipo site; it was down. Swung over to DSLReports.com and viola, folks were talking about the failure.

I was *VERY* surprised to see an official response so quickly on the thread. Shortly thereafter the service was restored. Compared to Verizon POTS failures or the now extinct AT&T Callvantage this kind of response in absolutely unbelievable on a weekend morning.

These folks at Voipo really care about their service and totally stay on top of things.
