I want to change the settings of line 2 on my RT31P2. It is locked by VoIPO since I bought the ATA from them. However, since I only use line 1 for VoIPO, I would like to utilize line 2 for something else.. Is this possible, or is this information something that cannot be given to users?

VOIPo Residential is a managed ATA. You are not allowed access to add a diferent provider on the second line.

You can use a soft phone or a different ATA and the BYOD info to customize your own ATA. The original ATA can continue to be used, or remain as a back-up.

Keep in mind BYOD is not officially supported, but the user community at http://forums.voipo.com/forumdisplay.php?f=28 can likely help.

Since we provide the devices to use free with service and retain ownership of them (remember they need to be returned to cancel service), we don't give admin access out to them.
