By Launch:

Any chance the setting of outbound CID can be managed by the Reseller?
Is your concern, that a telemarketer will buy a Reseller Account and abuse it?
Your Reseller TOS could clearly define its accepted use.



The Reseller to may want multiple inhouse lines that report the same outgoing CID.
I can envision multiple lines for business accounts with the same outgoing CID.
LNP requested accounts should be sending the future outgoing CID.

The Reseller will lose sales without this valuable tool!

Will any CID Alias be available by launch?
Seems like a stable beta but need to be so polished for Reseller Support.
Perhaps the Alias could be part of the Hardware page?

For what it's worth, I'll chime in and give this a +1

I agree, this is a relatively important customer service feature to ease pain associated with potentially long LNP times, and to facilitate customer's ease of testing VoIP service (so many folks rely on CID today to determine if they are going to answer the phone or not).

Even if it's too early in the feature's beta (on the residential side) to release directly to the customer, I would very much welcome this being released as a tool to the reseller CP so we can change, after performing our own verification.

Tim, anything you can do to make this happen would be much appreciated!
