View Full Version : Feature Request: Limit Intl by $ amount rather than minutes

It would be more useful to set a dollar amount limit on International calling, rather than a minute limit.

Since calls to different locations cost different amounts per minute, it would be very difficult to "include" minutes, or sell minute packages.

But with a $ amount limit, we could at least include a certain dollar amount or sell dollar amount Intl calling packages.

Thanks in advance! :)

That makes great sense!

Thanks for the support. :)

Currently, when you enable Intl calling, you'll see a check box for adding a limit.

I'd like to see TWO check boxes... one for minute limit, one for dollar limit. The reseller could choose the type according to their business model... or perhaps enable both? This would provide a great deal of flexibility to the resellers.

Great idea!

Bump for Tim or mods.
Any word on if we can get this limit setup? International calling is going to be hard to safely activate unless we can control dollars instead of minutes.

Example, say we set a 60 minute International calling limit for a customer's account.

If that customer makes 60 minutes of calls to UK, $0.02/min = $1.20. Fine.

But if that customer makes 60 minutes of calls to Guam, $1.09/min = $65.40.

And if they call "ocean region", 60 x $7.25/min = $435.00!!!! Yikes!!!!

As you can see, lots of potential for fraud or "call and cancel" customers that way.

Ignoring International Calling is not a very good option either... not for serious resellers.

But if we can set International calling dollar limit, then we have some options for building in call costs, selling call plans, etc.

Thoughts?

I'm with you on this one. I'd like to enable IC but I'm hesitating. Not good when everyone else seems to be offering it.
