Similar pricing, features. Same Grandstream ATA and web chat app. Is this just another brand or a reseller?

Provider X

We're completely unrelated.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Thanks for clearing that up.

No problem.

Just a heads up, I've also changed the name of the other provider to Provider X. Our forums are for VOIPo discussions and we don't want to promote a competing provider here.

You'll want to change it in the titles of the replies too, then.

I trialed both PP and Voipo at the same time. You can tell which one I chose. Yes, their Web site is nicer, but Voipo is feature rich even though the control panel needs a whole lot of work (still waiting for the new interface).

Do I read this correctly:
VoIPo: $8.25 or so per month with 12 month contract, residential, 5,000 min/mo. (avg) cap
Provider X (as above): $17 for the same.
Both with unlimited calling areas in US/Canada.
Both add about $3/mo for crud. No matter monthly or annual contract.
Yes?

I'm on the month to month price but considering going 12 mo. And switching the home's phones away from Ma Bell's pricing. Currently, VoIP is 2nd phone because first two VoIP providers' service was just too poor for us to cut the cord.

I don't (yet) care about features beyond basic CID and call waiting, but outbound CID doesn't work well. Use my own ans. mach.
