If I have Acrobits running & on-hook/idle at home; same NAT'd IP
as the ATA ...

Whenever I answer an ATA line, the call disconnects IMMEDIATELY
upon answer. Yes; when handset goes off-hook, I get a loud click
(disconnect) in 300-500 msec.

Is this intended ???

Humm that's interesting do you get the same issue of the soft phone is not on the same network?

If it doesn't I'd change the SIP port of the softphone to something else and see if that cures the problem.

I would set the sofphone reg port to 5061 or or 5062 and leave the ata set to 5060.

That basically would mimic the cloned second lien option in the ata.
