It appears that Grandstream pushed out some firmware to some users when they should not have.

If you have a minute can you login to your device using password 123 and look for "Software Version: Program-- 1.0.1.8" and let me know what verison you're running?

Everyone should be on 1.0.1.8, but some seem to have been pushed up to 1.0.1.15 which has a few known issues.

Once we determine how widespread this is, we'll probably be reverting it all back to 1.0.1.8.

One big bug .15 has is a call waiting issue where if you flash back to the original call, it turns it into a 3 way, so this is a pretty bad bug and justification to revert to the known working.

Can everyone confirm they pushed out new without telling us?

Wouldn't the firmware not updated unless the ATA was rebooted?

For what it's worth, mine appears to have remained the same:

Software Version: Program-- 1.0.1.8 Bootloader-- 1.0.0.9 Core-- 1.0.0.23 Base-- 1.0.0.66

Ht286 & Ht502?

On my HT286 if I:

Pickup the line and type "***" then "16" I get:
001.000.008.033 (for 734-437-xxxx)
001.000.008.033 (for 352-399-xxxx)

That is easier than getting to the web page.

Ht286 & Ht502?

Just 502. 286 should be fine.

Mine has the 1.0.1.8 version.

Firmare path = provision.voipo.com/firmware

so is it as they boot for the first time? Before they have a chance to get provisioned?

I've got the same 1.0.1.8 that everyone else has. But on a side not, I was actually thinking that I might "NEED" a new firmware update. Reason being; when I but in info like DNS and a few other things; it seems to accept the input, but when you reboot the adapter, the blocks are BLANK again. i thought I read somewhere that it was a firmware issue. Any ideas??? later... mike....

christcorp,
perhaps, the dns entries were overwritten via provisioning
have you tried temporarily disable auto provisioning?
dns entries and the like are not supposed to be provisioned by the provider but...

Hi, All....

Somehow I ended up getting upped to 1.0.1.15

If anyone still has a copy of 1.0.1.8 around or knows where it might reside, I could download it and go back.

Grandstream only shows 1.0.1.15 as available..

Thanks..

We have it. Just need to test a few more things with this method and then we'll be ready to automatically push it out to anyone needing it.

I'll PM you a little later today with info on that.

Anyone not on 1.0.1.8 should expect a downgrade early this week. All new units are being downgraded when they connect for the first time as well.

I'll let you guys know when we actually push it out. So far, it's been a very painless process and not a single issue with it, so likely no one will notice.

You are correct.

The only thing I noticed was how all the elusive problems went away.

just an FYI, HT502 firmware1.0.1.21 officially released
(http://forums.grandstream.com/node/1744) release note (http://www.grandstream.com/DOWNLOAD/FIRMWARE/GXW4004_GXW4008_GXW4024/Release_Note_GXW4004_GXW4008_GXW4024_HT502_1.0.1.2 1.pdf)

having said that, please DO NOT update the firmware yourself!

your VOIPo supplied ATA (firmware) will be automatically updated as deemed needed/fit via VOIPo

It is a good thing that that GS is actively addressing/improving their equipment features - RIP the old sipura/linksys ATAs

Cheers,

Send them a ticket and ask them to push the downgrade to you.

Takes a minute and you will see a world of difference, as I did..

This has been pushed out to everyone now.

On your next reboot, the system will check your firmware version. If you do not have 1.0.1.8, it will downgrade or upgrade you so that you do. It should only take a minute or so longer than a normal boot.

This corrects some issues with the following:

Call Waiting

3 Way Calling

*67

If you run into any issues, let us know.
