Re: Voicemail instructions?
I remember suggestions, but no how-to
- You can get to it using 123 or *123
- You can interrupt the outgoing voice message with # and the pass code from another phone.
- You can dial 832-838-7000, enter your number and pass code from a remote phone.
(A Texas number)
The rest, I just do by following voice prompts.
Re: Voicemail instructions?
Thanks ... that helps (actually it's the same as my previous provider). Still there should be detailed instrustion on ALL features ESPECIALLY voicemail.
Meanwhile, when I call my number from another number the voicemail picks up and says only GOOD-BYE! Yes, it is enabled in vPanel and I do have a outgoing message configured.
What is auto-login in the voicemail section of vpanel mean?
Average "joe-sixpack" needs detailed isntructions. I was able to figure out a lot of stuff but every major voip provider has instructions for all their features on their website. That's just basic. Customers need basic info. How would I ever figured out the Texas call-in number?
Very frustrating.

Re: Voicemail instructions?
I suggest putting a ticket in about "Good bye!"
Auto-login eliminates the need to enter the pass code.
Its more WAF friendly than remembering a code at home.
EDIT: I wonder if some think vmail is only available on vPanel?
Re: Voicemail instructions?
Now that you gave me *123 I figured out what auto-login is. :)
(This CAPTCHA is annoying on every message)
Re: Voicemail instructions?
I did put in a ticket. Grrrr.
Yea, with no *&&*&*@ instructions anywhere it's possible folks might think vmail is only on vPanel.

Re: Voicemail instructions?
I have no CAPTCHA when posting here.
Hopefully somebody can fix that too!
Must be a spam deterrent. (Perhaps x number of posts require it?)

I get it on every freakin' message. Probably a permissions error.
Re: Voicemail instructions?
I agree that there should be instructions in the vPanel. However, you will find a lot of answers in the knowledgebase at http://www.voipo.com/support.php
Re: Voicemail instructions?
Even the KB is wrong. it says "dial 123 from your VOIPO phone to access voice mail menu" when it should be *123. That would drive anyone who actually read it :) nuts.

*123 or 123 will both work :)

I SWEAR 123 didn't work yesterday but does now! All I got was dead air. :p
For that matter my voicemail didn't work at all yesterday (got voice message saying "goodbye" as soon as it answered) but does today.
Arghhhh! Must be my dementia.
Re: Voicemail instructions?
Ok, here's what I don't understand. I have two phones plugged in, Line 1 and 2.
On Line 2, I can dial 123 and get to voice mail.
Line 1, 123 just gives me a fast busy.
I believe my line 1 and 2 are what would be called 'cloned' .. they both ring the same number.
Help?
Re: Voicemail instructions?
Both lines should work equally when used as cloned.
That calls for a ticket - never heard of that issue.
In https://secure.voipo.com/features/devices there should be two devices listed.
An upgraded line, will only see one, for each vPanel selection.

Why in the heck isn't there a new user document or geeze, even a help menu in Vpanel?

That's something most people have been waiting/asking for for a very long time.

Wow. NOT a good first impression. How long would it take to post such a thing? 30 minutes? Gee.
Re: Voicemail instructions?
If you do 123# (To time it out) it will work.

I have gotten in the habit of dialing # after every number - seems to speed the dialing process up considerably (especially when dialing 7 digits!)
Be careful with 123# though - I had a problem with the VM system only giving me "goodbye" from time to time. Finally figured out that if I left off the #, the problem disappeared (sorry, support, for annoying you with this issue!)
Once again, a VOIPo wiki would solve a lot of these problems... hint hint!
