Re: Voicemail Access Number
I dialed in and was able to retrieve my voice mails just the same as other methods.
Worked for me.

Re: Voicemail Access Number
It would be easier to be able to dial your own number and then the password as per many other carriers.
Re: Voicemail Access Number
Sticky'd. Tim, of course, feel free to change this :)

After you dial the number, you will be asked for your mailbox, this is your 10-digit telephone number.
You will then be prompted for your PIN, which is, obviously, the same as normal.
Upon successful login, you should hear the same prompts as usual.
As always, please test and report any problems you encounter.
As of today, July 4th, when I dial 832 838 7000 from my Sprint cell, I get "we are unable to complete your call" message. From my Verizon cell I get " all circuits are busy now" and from my AT&T callvantage line I get " your call cannot be completed as dialed".
Did the number change?
Re: Voicemail Access Number
I get dead air from my P8 line.......thats nothing unusual though !!!!
Re: Voicemail Access Number
I wish that we could register two CIDs to automatically get VM from such a number.
I would likely use remote dial-in if it was easier.
That would be similar to the VoiceStick Bridge but for Voicemail.
You could have two pass codes.
- One for VM
- One to dial out.
Implement it for VM, then expand for dialing without any obvious copying :)

Affirmative.

Basically for those wondering this was partially still going to old and just wasn't completely setup on the production systems.

Leave it to me to discover it. I'm the guy who accused Brendan of "tripping over the plug in the warehouse" when VT first started. (implying that the company was run out of a warehouse with little or no backup).
Little did I know how close I might have come to the truth.
Re: Voicemail Access Number
Great feature. Worked for me.
It runs in my mind that I was able to get my VM by dialing my own number but I'm out of town and currently have my VOIPo number forwarding to my cell so when I tried to call my own number, it obviously went to my cell. It's great to have a standalone number for just such an occasion.

Re: Voicemail Access Number
Any update? Is this number still good to use for voicemail?
Re: Voicemail Access Number
How do I find my PIN number if I never used one before?
Re: Voicemail Access Number
In vPanel go to Preferences, and you will see a Pin menu choice.
Re: Voicemail Access Number
This was only on the BETA VM servers, but we just added it to production since people were using it.
We'll add it to documentation as an option later today sometime.
