I realize this is an old thread but it has not been determined whether or not the registration SIP password changes or not due to power flops or some other anomaly. I have wanted to send back the VOIPo provided ATA for over a year now but worry about not being able to re-register with the current SIP password if something goes wrong (I might add it has not happened in about a year but I am on an UPS). Barring some unusual aberration is it safe to believe that it is OK to return the VOIPo ATA and not be concered about "losing" the SIP password down the road sometime (and probably on a weekend without support)?

It should just be a one-time thing to need the ATA to get them activated. Unless you use the option to change them, they should remain the same once you get them the first time.
