Groundwire
The recipient could have used *69 to return the last call without caller ID. The phone company knows your number.

Not all cordless phones have this feature, but many do. Many separate caller ID boxes (I have one that "speaks" the calling number) can also do this. I know mine works with VOIPo.
The nice thing about Google Voice is that it will email you a transcript of the message. The transcript's quality is usually less than stellar, but I can usually make out the gist of it. It also...
I use Acrobits Groundwire and can make and receive calls from VOIPo. I didn't do anything unusual.
There are two ways you can go. The simplest is to put the VOIPo adapter between the cable modem and the router. This works for most people, but didn't for me. The alternative is to connect the...
Ok, I see it now. Shouldn't I have received some sort of notification about it?
That page also says that your number may be one for which SMS is not available, and if no numbers are listed, that is the case.
I enabled SMS for my account and sent a text message from my AT&T iPhone to the number. Nothing was received.
I have not found ANY SMS alert services that work with Google Voice. You get no error, just no SMS is delivered.
I used the "Report a bug" link in the new panel to report issues. No acknowledgement or reply. Should I report issues in the forum instead?

Raises hand.... I spent the better part of a year fighting Vonage over abysmal call quality. Switched to VOIPo and problem solved.
FWIW, if anyone is looking for a nice iOS softphone app that works with VOIPo, Acrobits Softphone or Acrobits Groundwire (more features) are quite nice. They're not free, but the free apps I have...
Rather than a specific app, if the web control panel were more "friendly" to mobile browsers, which it could auto-detect. that would be as good as an app. I have seen many sites go this way.
All you need is server name, username and password. Get these from vPanel under Features > Preferences > Softphone/BYOD
For me it isn't shortcodes - it's signing up for services such as flight notifications or Twitter, or Amazon shipment tracking, etc. Sometimes the sites will have a pulldown list of carriers, but...
Well, I was paid through 2015 and opted to take the promo to 2017....
Got an email saying that VOIPo is once again offering the promotion of a two year renewal for $149 (plus $36 taxes and fees) - this weekend only. Log in to vPanel for the details. According to the...
On the other hand, I have read complaints from others with VoIP services (including but not limited to VOIPo) where 911 calls did not go through or were misrouted. Most of the time, it works. But if...
