    Re: Grandstream Time Set

Yes, you can do it. Specify an IP address in the GS admin panels and assign it in your router set-up panels. Works like a charm a well.

Re: Initial setup experience & questions

I would do both, as well as disabling SIP ALG.

You don't really want the IP address of your GS changing, as that can only cause issues. I would port forward as well, as you don't want anything...

Re: Time from dial to first ring

You can try dialing a # once you are done dialing the numbers. From what I understand, your service supports 7, 10, and 11 number dialing, and will wait a requisite amount of time before assuming you...

Re: Can I travel with my adapter?

Assuming you have a capable device, I think it would be much easier just to install a SIP phone app on your Droid/IPhone, etc. rather than tote around your ATA.

Again, assuming you have a capable...

    Re: Dependable

I've been with VOIPO for about 5 months now. I did have some issues in the beginning, but tech support was very responsive and, since then, I've had no real issues with service nor reliability. The...

    Re: VOIPO Down? 11_7_2011

I can't access the call log: Exception Caught: DateTimeZone::__construct() [datetimezone.--construct]: Unknown or bad timezone (-05:00)

But, my calls are coming in and going out.

Re: No voice on incoming calls.

    kayakbuilder,

I had an issue when I was configured with my ATA between my modem and router. I had to move it inside my network. The issue was with my cable modem.

Can you tell me how many...
  8. Re: Outbound Calls - 1 ring, then dead air - Wife ready to kill me.....

I've seen posts regarding Callcentric, VOIP.ms.

I posted a question on the Broadband VOIP tech board:

A few weeks ago I had issues with outbound calls to 2 specific numbers. One would...
  9. Re: Outbound Calls - 1 ring, then dead air - Wife ready to kill me.....

My issue was also fixed by doing route work on the 2 numbers. From what I have read on the Broadband forums, this type of issue is not exclusive to VOIPo.

    Not making excuses, just saying.

    Dave.
  10. Re: Outbound Calls - 1 ring, then dead air - Wife ready to kill me.....

Interesting. My ATA is also behind the firewall with port forwarding enabled and SIP-ALG disabled.

I have opend a ticket with VOIPo support, text follows.

I will keep you guys updated when I...
  11. Re: Outbound Calls - 1 ring, then dead air - Wife ready to kill me.....

    gls,

Interesting, as my wife is claiming something similar, although there have been no threats or ultimatums.

Calls to one neighbor in particular, who also has VOIP (although through Optimum...
  12. Re: Sending voicemail attachments to multiple emails (WORKING)

Mark, just so you know, I did reply.

My post is hung up somewhere waiting for the moderator to approve. Probably because I included a link in it.

Hopefully it will go through soon.

    Dave.
  13. Re: Sending voicemail attachments to multiple emails (WORKING)

Well, my issue stemmed from a coupe of things.

I am a Cablevision customer (Optonline) and about the same time I signed up with VOIPo, I swapped out an old cable modem I had for about 10 years,...
  14. Re: Sending voicemail attachments to multiple emails (WORKING)

    Web,

I guess we can file this in the "great minds think alike" bucket. Then again ...

Anyway, I've been with VOIPo for about 3 months now. I did the same thing as you, and for the same reason....
  15. Re: Old ATT Number is dead, but no notification of port success

Wow, you got a letter from ATT? Verizon never sent me anything. So be it. I don't miss them, nor their outrageous phone bill.

    Re: Android and Voipo

I second what frankd1 said. I use CSipSimple as well. It was easy to configure and it just flat works. Although it drains the hell out of my DroidX battery.

Re: On the Grandstream - Why Can't You Do This?

I was able to do this, but it did require a bit of wiring. Make sure the modular wire running from your ATA to the phone jack are indeed serving the tip/ring pair you think they are. If your house is...

Re: PORT (Transfer) of number problem

Did you check to see if your number has really been ported?

Try checking the TNID database to see if has been updated with the new CLEC. In my case, VOIPo uses Bandwidth.com CLEC LLC, so that may...

Re: No voice on incoming calls.

    Update:

I got an email from Voipo support on Saturday evening asking me to "try my service now."

Seemed to work well for a while on Sunday, but as of Sunday evening I get a fast busy signal...

Re: No voice on incoming calls.

    Same issue with me.

Selective incoming calls are not able to hear me.

My setup is Cable modem ---> Grandstream ATA ---> Netgear Router.

I am noticing a loose correlation to numbers I have...
