Datacenter Migration Update
SIP Server Migrations - Done
At this point, almost all provisioned users have been migrated to the new datacenters.
Right now, migrated users are split evenly between Washington DC and Dallas. Once the migration is complete, we'll optimize this some by moving users around with load balancers that can detect the best location connectivity wise unless there is on forced. For now though, the priority is just migration.
These facilities both have very robust connectivity but are also connected via a 10Gbps private network link as well. So even though they are geographically diverse, they're under the same umbrella.
There are still some components of our system located in The Planet and we're working on moving the rest out gradually this week, but again at this point, most users have been successfully migrated out.
For most users, we expect this to also result in a significant voice quality increase especially when the remaining components are moved.
Obviously due to ongoing network issues at The Planet, we've expedited this move, but it's been in the works for quite a while. We'll now have access to a much more robust network, the ability to better protect our network with dedicated hardware firewalls, the ability to drastically improve failover by utilizing the private network, etc. Overall, once this move is complete not only should things be more stable overall, but we'll be better positioned to continue to enhance overall infrastructure.
For those interested, here is some background: http://forums.voipo.com/showthread.php?t=993
Again, at this point nearly all provisioned users have been migrated. Most of our systems have been as well and we expect remaining components to be migrated throughout the week.
If anyone has any questions or has issues, please contact support and let us know.

Re: Datacenter Migration Update
That migration went amazingly well with almost no related issues from it reported.
Tonight, we'll be continuing this migration by moving our outbound edge servers which validate and hand off outgoing calls to the appropriate networks delivering the calls, handle LCR, and capture the call records.
This should be seamless for everyone because you don't connect to these. They simply sit between our sip servers and Level3, etc.
This should address any lingering dead air/failed outgoing calls which we've had a few reports of.

Outbound Edge Servers - Done
At this point, we've rerouted all outbound calls to the new outbound edge servers in the new facility.
If you notice any issues, please let us know.
We're continuing to migrate remaining portions of our infrastructure throughout the week.
