If you compete against a 500 minute plan.

Even Unlimited, unless International is important.

It may not be so bad.

The "Try Again" is a subliminal to pass on Vonage after seeing the bottom line

That's the thing. Most people seem to think about competing against ViaTalk, VOIPo, PhonePower, etc.

The reality is very very very few people even know anything besides Vonage exists. Most are still using POTS and don't even know much about Vonage.

Competing against landlines/Cable Co Digital Phone or even Vonage will be much easier and more profitable.

Vonage does push an ATA with built-in Router.

    • VOIPo needs a router capable ATA to keep things simple.
    • I vote for the SPA2102 if possible.

Obviously the RT31P2 is not readily supplied anymore, so its not a good choice for volume purchases. The SPA2102 seems to still be on the market, and has just enough needed features. Wondering in volume, if VOIPo would get a good price break?

    Dimensions: 3.98" Height x 3.98" Width x 1.1" Depth
Look like the same dimensions as the PAP2T-NA.

It would be nice to know what ATA types are approved as managed.
It would be great to know what ATA types VOIPo can supply.

I understood new VOIPo sign-ups could get either RT31P2 or PAP2T.
The latter being almost the only type stocked now.

The Hardware order form should list valid choices and prices.

I see the RTP300 is a four port router too.
    One site claimed it was "0.4 x 0.4 x 0.4 inches"
    Seems it is 6.69 x 6.69 x 1.22 inches
Likely overkill for price. People either don't appreciate routers and need one,
or they already have a decent router is my expectation.

We had at one time 3 rtp300's with all six ports active behind an Actiontec WG701 for over 4 years at the office...

Decent ATA. Never used them as a router though...
