Default Simu-Ring for BYOD in the future?

    Hey Tim,

Thanks for the positive note about the call notify via email feature for the future.

On the Simu-Ring topic, any chance of this feature being available for BYOD users down the road?

    Thanks,
    M

Are you saying when SimulRing is on, a soft phone won't ring?

    Not exactly.

If someone is only using like a Cisco IP Phone, Polycom SIP or other BYOD device then the simul ring doesn't work.

If the Voipo issued ATA is connected, then it's not an issue.

Ah. The VOIPo ATA is meant to be the defacto device, the others are meant to help when you travel. The VOIPo ATA is needed for any official Ticket Troubleshooting.

Soft Phone, Asterisk, and other ATAs won't work without the supplied device being registered after sign-up, but I did not know it needed to be continuously connected for the other SIP devices to ring.

Wondering what the Asterisk people do? I guess they do not use SimulRing and its a non-issue.
