Default Can I travel with my adapter?

Can I bring my adapter with me on vacation and plug it into the hotel's Ethernet port and make calls?

    Thanks,

    Mike

    Yes you can but-

Remember that 911 will send police and fire to the place you have 911 registered to, and-

The network you plug into can always have various ports and services blocked. Since phonecalls are a way to generate revenue for hotels/motels you can bet some do it.

Many hotels are doing away with hardwired ethernet and opting for wireless only. I don't believe you can use your adapter in that situation.

Assuming you have a capable device, I think it would be much easier just to install a SIP phone app on your Droid/IPhone, etc. rather than tote around your ATA.

Again, assuming you have a capable smartphone.

    Just my opinion.
