Default Are Softphone SIP Credentials available for new sign-ups?

Someone in BBR brought up the question of whether or not non-beta (new) VOIPo signups will be allowed to use SoftPhones. Will they?

We're working on rolling out a solution which does not require users to have access to SIP credentials. For the time being, we are providing them for X-Lite, but new users are not permitted to then take those credentials and use them in any others devices/software.

May I refer to your response in BBR --- or would you like me to be silent for now?

By the way, I'm using Express Talk (6-lines) from NCH Swift Sound in Australia. It's a nice easy to use SoftPhone.

Sure, you can quote it. Let me qualify it by saying that we only allow them to be used for our ATAs or approved software/devices instead of just saying for X-Lite...that way it leaves it open because we may add to that later.
