VPanel V2 Q re "outgoing Fax - email"
I can't seem to find anything in the knowledge base re the Outgoing Fax - email functionality. Can I assume that if an "authorized e-mail address" is entered that upon sending a mail to "XXXXX@voipo.com" from the authorized e-mail that it is then faxed? If correct I have the following questions:
1) what's the VoIPo e-mail address that initiates the fax (e.g. xxxx@voipo.com)
2) How would you designate the phone number of the fax machine to which you are sending?
3) Assuming Cover sheet is NOT system generated and that the sender should include in the document(s) included in the e-mail?

Re: VPanel V2 Q re "outgoing Fax - email"
Hello,
We will update that page shortly with documentation.
However you would essentially send an email as follows below.
To: destinationFaxPhoneNumber@fax.voipo.com, i.e. 8005558355@fax.voipwelcome.com
Subject: Anything
Message Body: Anything
Any valid attached documents will be sent as a fax. You can include multiple attachments per email. Each document will be be completed as a separate fax (it does not merge the faxes together).
You must pre-authorize the email address you will be sending from and also map it to one of your account Fax Phone Numbers. This will be the Caller ID number that we send the fax(es) from.
Please do let us know if this makes sense and if we may be of any further assistance.
Thanks!
Re: VPanel V2 Q re "outgoing Fax - email"
I'm getting several "potential error with submission" errors from the Fax server while sending outbound faxes via e-mail:

I have experienced the same issue.
Re: VPanel V2 Q re "outgoing Fax - email"
Hello,
Just to verify the document type is not .docx correct? Please make sure the document formats are consistent with the ones available on the website. (PDF, JPG, TIFF, etc).
Look forward to hearing back from you, thanks!

Re: VPanel V2 Q re "outgoing Fax - email"
Brandon,
I tried a PDF and a DOC and got the "potential error with submission" message this morning.
Re: VPanel V2 Q re "outgoing Fax - email"
I sent myself a fax with a PDF attachment as a test. It was accepted but had two problems.
1) The fax did not show up in my outgoing log in the vPanel. I would think it would still show up even through I didn't use the GUI to send it.
2) The incoming PDF of the fax was corrupt. It wouldn't open using Reader or full Acrobat. The cover page did work though.

1. The fax should show up in outgoing history. Could you possibly PM me the call details, i.e. fax to / from / date / time of a fax that failed to show in history?
2. Would it also be possible for you to reproduce this with a non-sensitive document and provide this to me as well. Was it one email, with two attachments? Two separate emails?

Could you also provide me with non-sensitive document(s) that you are attempting to fax and able to reproduce this issue with.
Also is this only happening with multiple attachments? From the looks of it you are attempting ~ 8 at a time - have you tried with fewer attachments?
Re: VPanel V2 Q re "outgoing Fax - email"
Brandon-
I have actually only tried send one at a time. I have tried different pdf's and doc's from my email; but, all get the same error. Where would you like me to send the attachment you requested?

Please go ahead and email me directly (brandon@voipo.com). Just title it Fax Document or something so I do not overlook it! That is quite peculiar if you are only sending one at a time -- the reason I was thinking this is that the logs you supplied with the error has several faxes all with the same timestamp at the exact same second. Look forward to your email. Thanks!
